Andrew Turnbull -  Rural Financial Counsellor

Andrew commenced working with RFCS-CW in August 2015 and has extensive agricultural experience operating and managing family farms based at Bourke and Bingara.  Having three other siblings interested in farming has shown Andrew a lot about family politics, business planning with compromise for other people's goals and objectives, including the owners, as well as the importance of drafting and meeting budgets.  Andrew has experience applying for government grants with the last one obtained for water infrastructure enabling the Bingara property to be piped and troughed in most paddocks.

Andrew worked at the NAB Agribusiness in various locations for three years analysing all types of farms and agribusinesses which was a real eye opener as to how the banking system worked and what the relationship looked like from the banks side.  Andrew has completed a Diploma of Agribusiness from Marcus Oldham College and looks forward to meeting and working with clients on their farm businesses.

John Edwards -  Rural Financial Counsellor

John Edwards joined the RFCSCR team in August 2017 as a Rural Financial Counsellor.  John was raised on the family farm at the edge of the Darling Downs.  He has accumulated an extensive rural background covering many different industries including 13 years with the Queensland DPI, 7 years as a pilot and small business owner in the aerial agricultural industry and 7 years with a Financial Literacy program helping people to improve their finances.  This experience stands him in good stead to be able to support the local rural communities in which he works.
